Transform your smile in a day with our digital approach to dental veneers

The perfect smile can be yours. Custom-made porcelain veneers are a natural-looking solution to any damaged teeth or large gaps in your smile. Veneers can correct cracked, discoloured, and misshapen teeth, completely transforming how they look. Using our digital smile design software, we’ll show you at the chair side how we will perfect your teeth before we get to work on your dream smile. Together, we can design your smile and make it a reality.

What are dental veneers?

Veneers are thin porcelain or ceramic shells that fit over the front of the tooth, completely changing their appearance for the better. Modern dental materials mean that we can make veneers thinner than ever while still being durable enough to not easily break. The benefit of this means that we only need to remove a very small amount of enamel to accommodate the veneer, if any. Veneers can not only improve problem teeth, but can be used in combination to address common issues such as a gap between the two front teeth.

Why have dental veneers?

If you’re looking to have a full smile makeover, veneers are the quickest method for helping you achieve the look you’re after. We can colour-match your veneers so they look as natural as possible against the rest of your teeth. As porcelain is semi-translucent, the materials closely resemble the qualities of natural tooth enamel. Using our cutting-edge CAD/CAM technology, the veneers that we craft in our onsite laboratory are computer-guided and incredibly precise, offering accurate fits that blend seamlessly with your smile.

Veneers are also non-invasive as they only require a small amount of the tooth to be removed. Having your teeth treated, smile scanned, veneers made and fitted can all be achieved in a single day.

How do we transform smiles with Veneers at TwentyOneDental?

Before we consider going ahead with veneers, we will need to first assess your dental health. If we believe there will be no issues going forward, we’ll start your treatment.

Digital Smile Design

At TwentyOneDental, we have full use of our own in-house digital laboratory overseen and run by our experienced dental lab manager. Using an intraoral 3D camera, we can capture accurate scans of your teeth and have them visible on the display at the chair side for you to see. Using these scans, together we then design your veneers to achieve the type of result you’re after.

In-house dental laboratory

Using the accurate digital 3D scans, our in-house dental technicians can craft your veneers using our cutting-edge milling unit. While we work on your veneers, you can relax in our lounge and sit back. Once finished, we will invite you back into the clinic for the fitting.

Finishing touches

Finally, we fit your veneers to your prepared teeth. We polish them off to a high shine, making sure the end result is exactly what we designed. If well looked after, veneers can last for many years. If anything does happen, and accidents do indeed happen, we will be able to quickly craft any replacements using the same scans.

FAQs

What are veneers made from?

Dental veneers are made from either porcelain, ceramic or zirconia. We make use of our inhouse milling unit to craft veneers from a single piece of ceramic which is milled down using computer-guided CAD/CAM technology.

Are veneers permanent?

While the veneers themselves can be removed and replaced, the treatment needed to fit the veneers is permanent. A small amount of tooth is often removed to accommodate the veneer.

Are veneers covered by dental insurance?

No. Veneers are a cosmetic treatment therefore insurance companies will not cover the treatment cost. As they are for aesthetic purposes and not beneficial for your general dental health, they are a private treatment. We do however offer 0% finance payment plans to spread the cost over smaller, affordable instalments.

Do veneers damage your teeth?

While it is often necessary to remove a layer of enamel from your teeth to accommodate the veneers, this does not damage your teeth in a way that will impact their health and longevity. As long as you keep on top of your oral health, keeping your smile safe from gum disease and dental decay, your teeth will remain as healthy as they would without the veneers.
