At TwentyOneDental, we understand that many people have a fear of the dentist.

A bad experience as a child, heavy-handed or painful treatment mean that people like yourself avoid what may be essential dental treatment that could save your teeth or give you the ability to smile with confidence.

Whatever your fear is and however it manifests itself, we are accustomed to treating people like yourself. We will be gentle, caring and empathic and will guide you through your journey with us.

Sedation

Here at TwentyOneDental, we have an experienced sedation dentist who is trained in intravenous, oral and intranasal sedation and is one of the few sedationists in the South East who offers intranasal sedation in dental practice. Intranasal sedation is a great way for patients who are extremely anxious or needle phobic to get the treatment they need.

Dr Rajeev Jeevananthan is known for being calm, caring and believes that a visit to the dentist should not be a terrifying experience and is passionate about putting nervous patients at ease during their dental treatment. Find out more about Dr Rajeev Jeevananthan

Drift away from pain and anxiety

Our sedation services are available for both adults and children to ensure that you are as comfortable as possible during your treatment with us. When sedated you will be conscious, but unaware of what is going on around you.

Your dentist will be able to help you decide which type of sedation is right for you.

At TwentyOneDental, Sedation is administered by dedicated fully trained and highly experienced clinicians who form part of our exemplary team. They are experienced in anaesthesia and sedation and are one of a few sedationists in the South East who provide intranasal sedation in dental practice. They also include being members of SAAD and DTSG alongside mentoring.

If you are anxious or nervous when visiting the dentist then sedation can be very helpful to keep you relaxed and calm during your appointment.

When receiving sedation you will be fully informed beforehand of any potential side effects and given advice to help with your recovery. When having treatment under sedation you will require a chaperone to attend with you and collect you following your appointment.
